Loved the hush puppy's and sweet tea. Service was very good. Excellent value for the money. I would come back again. No military discount but check the touristy coupon book, there was a $5 off coupon for spending $25 or more.

Let me first start with the good. The pork BBQ had a nice flavor, and I don't think I had any fat in my BBQ. Me and my wife both agreed that the house BBQ sauce was the best, followed by the Lexington sauce. The potato salad was also very good. It was homemade, and tasted great. Just a note, everything on the menu with an * beside of it, is homemade. Ice tea was great, and the service was very good. We sat outside, and it was the perfect evening to do this. My baked beans were just average. My BBQ slaw was not good. When I eat BBQ, I prefer BBQ slaw, but this was not good. It had carrot in it, and I think that was one of the pieces that made this not good. Small BBQ plate was $8.49, and drinks are $2.

This is what our order was and there was nothing left and no one left hungry: 1 qt pulled pork BBQ 1 pt green beans 1 pt white cole slaw (they have red and white - red has a vinegar based sauce, white is mayo) 1 pt Brunswick stew 1 pt Mac & Cheese Large order of hush puppies. My husband and I recently were visiting the Carolina's and had an opportunity to visit the Bar-B-Que House in North Myrtle Beach. What a pleasant treat that was. Our waitress (Millie) was friendly, efficient and helpful. She spoke with us as if she had known us for years! My husband and I both selected the small beef brisket plate, which was an excellent choice. The meat was cooked to perfection, juice and flavorful. I chose slaw and French fries as my side dishes, my husband chose mashed potatoes and baked beans -- if it wasn't rude to lick your bowl - we would have done that too!! Highly recommend a stop at the Bar-B-Que House if you are in the area, you won't be sorry!

To me, what really makes the barbeque here great is all of the sauce choices...most places don't do that, they just offer one. I enjoy the SC sweet mustard-based sauce. I don't particularly enjoy vinegar-based BBQ sauce, but most places in the area offer only that. The Bar-B-Que House offers at least four sauces. Obviously the BBQ is great, or it wouldn't matter what sauce you put on it. The red slaw and hushpuppies are great as well. Add a side of fries, and you're in business! There's good value for your money here. Stamey's BBQ in Greensboro, NC is a real BBQ institution that has been around since 1938, and we often eat there on visits. Given a choice, I prefer the Bar-B-Que House.

First time down to Myrtle for my wife and I (since we were kids anyway) last week. Spent some time locating good places to eat. Ate here once for lunch, and then came back for dinner later in the week. Pulled pork is excellent, had the medium portion and it was more than enough. I am SOOO glad this restaurant rebuilt after their fire last year. If you love Lexington style BBQ, this is the restaraunt for you. They have the cleanest BBQ I have ever eaten. No fat, skin or gristle. We like to buy a qt of BBQ and a pint of red slaw with buns to go. Their Lex style sauce is very good. This BBQ is better than Stameys and as good as Kepleys in Guilford Co NC. And thats a high recommendation from me. LOL The people are friendly and the service is excellent. Plentiful food and drink. Waitress wanted to send me home with a to go cup of tea. Food was good. Ribs a bit over sauced but that's an easy fix. Fried chicken was very good, very juicy. Pork was good. Not the best but good. It made It easy to try out the sauces. The mustard and the straight vinegar/spices were the best. It's probably worth going through the drive through and getting some chopped pork and a gallon of sweet tea to bring home. But then you'd miss the cheerful and very hospitable waitress.

Like looked like a KFC refurbished. The BBQ was awesome, the sweet tea was fresh and they were so nice about the baby making a mess (and it was helpful that I clean up after us because my 20% tip certainly didn't cover the mess my wee one made.) I think hush puppies come with every dinner- they were deelish. And the corn nuggest? (basically deep friend corn balls) were amazing. Each kind of BBQ sauce (Carolina , et al) were available at the table. We were waiting for the car maintenance at Jiffy Lube and with all of the tourist traps in the area I'm not sure we would've found it otherwise- awesome little place.

Again, thank goodness that this place has been rebuilt and reopened after a fire totally destroyed it. The place really looks basically the same, a good thing. We enjoyed the pulled pork, ribs and for me, for the first time, the smoked chicken. All were great! The ribs were fall off the bone tender while the pulled pork was very tasty with any of the homemade sauces that are on every table. The white meat chicken with the smokey flavor was outstanding. We used to eat here every year when it was still Fazzoli's. This is our second year eating at the Bar-B-Que House. The BBQ is delicious. I had the Sandwich Platter which came with a huge BBQ sandwich with slaw and two sides and hush puppies that came with this sweet dipping sauce that made them taste like a cinnamon bun. My two sides were Onion Rings and Mac and Cheese. Both very good and way too many onion rings to eat! My daughter got the potato salad and that was delicious, wish I had of gotten that instead. And the price was amazing! All that food for less than $30 for three of us, including drinks. The iced tea was awesome. There is also a coupon in one of those coupon books you find in all the stores for a free order of Cheese Sticks with two kinds of dipping sauce. You got 6 of them and they were a great appetizer. We will go back again, for sure on our next return to Cherry Grove Beach!

I think that the "rock/50s memorabilia" here is really forced and of does nothing for me. Place still reads as a fast food style layout so I'd prefer it sans forced kitchy-ness.

My husband and I recently were visiting the Carolina's and had an opportunity to visit the Bar-B-Que House in North Myrtle Beach. What a pleasant treat that was. Our waitress (Millie) was friendly, efficient and helpful. She spoke with us as if she had known us for years! My husband and I both selected the small beef brisket plate, which was an excellent choice. The meat was cooked to perfection, juice and flavorful. I chose slaw and French fries as my side dishes, my husband chose mashed potatoes and baked beans -- if it wasn't rude to lick your bowl - we would have done that too!! Highly recommend a stop at the Bar-B-Que House if you are in the area, you won't be sorry!

I just can't say enough about this place!!!! The food was just DELICIOUS! We loved it so much that I bought extra and went to the local department store to get a cooler to take it home! I will definitely be going back here when I return to Myrtle Beach!!!

To me, what really makes the barbeque here great is all of the sauce choices...most places don't do that, they just offer one. I enjoy the SC sweet mustard-based sauce. I don't particularly enjoy vinegar-based BBQ sauce, but most places in the area offer only that. The Bar-B-Que House offers at least four sauces. Obviously the BBQ is great, or it wouldn't matter what sauce you put on it. The red slaw and hushpuppies are great as well. Add a side of fries, and you're in business! There's good value for your money here. Stamey's BBQ in Greensboro, NC is a real BBQ institution that has been around since 1938, and we often eat there on visits. Given a choice, I prefer the Bar-B-Que House.

Have to agree with most of the Yelpers who came here before us, the BBQ is very good. We bought the pork BBQ platter with 2-sides. We got green beans, cole slaw, collard greens, and mashed potatoes. All sides were delicious. They have 3 or 4 different kinds of BBQ sauce, which they also sell in bottles. Prices are reasonable too. Would definitely return!

First time down to Myrtle for my wife and I (since we were kids anyway) last week. Spent some time locating good places to eat. Ate here once for lunch, and then came back for dinner later in the week. Pulled pork is excellent, had the medium portion and it was more than enough. Half rack of ribs is huge, left with some of that as well. Hushpuppies, mac n cheese, sweet tea - all great. Good food, reasonable prices, large servings. Nothing much to complain about there.

So it's 4th of July evening at 7:20. After waiting about ten minutes for anyone to come over to our table, a server finally comes by and let's us know they're out of bar-b-que and ribs! It's the 4th if July! How does this happen? And the place was certainly by no means crowded. Five years in a row best bar-b-que??? Who knows???

I am SOOO glad this restaurant rebuilt after their fire last year. If you love Lexington style BBQ, this is the restaraunt for you. They have the cleanest BBQ I have ever eaten. No fat, skin or gristle. We like to buy a qt of BBQ and a pint of red slaw with buns to go. Their Lex style sauce is very good. This BBQ is better than Stameys and as good as Kepleys in Guilford Co NC. And thats a high recommendation from me. LOL The people are friendly and the service is excellent. This is where I eat every time I'm in NMB.

Awesome bar-b-que! Had 5 for lunch and everybody enjoyed it. Would have given it 5 starts, but when we went for lunch they didn't have ribs...said they were still in the smoker? I would assume that a BBQ restaurant would have their ribs ready for lunch on a weekend.

I love BBQ, but this was NOT good BBQ. I had the BBQ chicken platter, and I could only stomach a small part of the chicken. I stayed in North Myrtle Beach all week was not tempted to go back here at all. I guess that is what you get when you go to a BBQ joint with a drive thru!!

Plentiful food and drink. Waitress wanted to send me home with a to go cup of tea. Food was good. Ribs a bit over sauced but that's an easy fix. Fried chicken was very good, very juicy. Pork was good. Not the best but good. It made It easy to try out the sauces. The mustard and the straight vinegar/spices were the best. It's probably worth going through the drive through and getting some chopped pork and a gallon of sweet tea to bring home. But then you'd miss the cheerful and very hospitable waitress.

Like looked like a KFC refurbished. The BBQ was awesome, the sweet tea was fresh and they were so nice about the baby making a mess (and it was helpful that I clean up after us because my 20% tip certainly didn't cover the mess my wee one made.) I think hush puppies come with every dinner- they were deelish. And the corn nuggest? (basically deep friend corn balls) were amazing. Each kind of BBQ sauce (Carolina , et al) were available at the table. We were waiting for the car maintenance at Jiffy Lube and with all of the tourist traps in the area I'm not sure we would've found it otherwise- awesome little place.

Ordered the family feast from the drive thru...worst customer service ever! Bbq sauce was ultra thin, basically vinegar. Bbq was less than great...slaw was ok & hushpuppies were by far the best thing we tried. They were out of banana pudding :( The place looks great now, but needing some work on the employees & food quality.

This is by far the best bbq on Myrtle Beach. The pork and ribs are to die for. We have been there 3 times this week the food is just amazing. Again, thank goodness that this place has been rebuilt and reopened after a fire totally destroyed it. The place really looks basically the same, a good thing. We enjoyed the pulled pork, ribs and for me, for the first time, the smoked chicken. All were great! The ribs were fall off the bone tender while the pulled pork was very tasty with any of the homemade sauces that are on every table. The white meat chicken with the smokey flavor was outstanding. Sides were good and the ice tea was great. Prices are very reasonable and our server, Alice was very pleasant. We will be back!!

We used to eat here every year when it was still Fazzoli's. This is our second year eating at the Bar-B-Que House. The BBQ is delicious. I had the Sandwich Platter which came with a huge BBQ sandwich with slaw and two sides and hush puppies that came with this sweet dipping sauce that made them taste like a cinnamon bun. My two sides were Onion Rings and Mac and Cheese. Both very good and way too many onion rings to eat! My daughter got the potato salad and that was delicious, wish I had of gotten that instead. And the price was amazing! All that food for less than $30 for three of us, including drinks. The iced tea was awesome. There is also a coupon in one of those coupon books you find in all the stores for a free order of Cheese Sticks with two kinds of dipping sauce. You got 6 of them and they were a great appetizer. We will go back again, for sure on our next return to Cherry Grove Beach!

Nothing special, not bad either. Wouldn't mind going back if I couldn't get a table anywhere else. The house sauce is above average. The sauce in a bbq place is what make or break a bbq joint and I didn't really go crazy for it. But the excellent staff have an excellent mannerism and quick. Everything else is above average for me. A+ for the great staff but C for everything else.
